The time for the next Newsletter has come round very quickly, and just as life is beginning to start again in the garden, so activities are beginning again in the Society.  Not too much to report yet, but work is going on behind the scenes.

Sadly, we have again to report the death of a much loved and respected member of our Society.  Roger Wain unhappily died since our last issue, and a tribute to him will be found elsewhere in this magazine.

This issue has been held back slightly to allow us to give up-to-date details of change of officers after the AGM on 10th May. We thank those who have resigned from office for their hard work, and we extend our thanks to their successors for taking on their duties. The editors would like to express their thanks to all who have contributed to this issue.  Without you there would be no magazine.

We are always looking for new members.  If you are interested in the future of your town and rural area, come along to one of our meetings.  You may even be persuaded to join, (but there will be no pressure to do so if you think it is not for you.)  For the next three months we shall be meeting on Monday evenings to make it easier for those who work during the day.  See below:-

Meeting Times April May June and July 2010.

The Orme Centre, Orme Road, Room 6 on the second Monday of each month at 6.30pm

Meetings start promptly, and if contributing to the discussions gives you a dry throat, you may get a free (non-alcoholic) drink provided. How can you resist that?
